The Spring and Summer are passing along and with all the activities those seasons invite I haven't been very motivated to update my blog here on VOX. I not a prolific writer nor do I have a flair with words but I'll try to put something down today.
My wife and I have a small garden spot with tomatoes, okra, yellow squash, egg plant, patty pan squash, cantaloupe, green beans, and zucchini. The okra, squash, egg plant, watermelon and cantaloupe are doing well but the rest are not. I've enjoyed hoeing our small plot of ground and the produce has been wonderful. My wife and I prepared a moussaka using eggplant, patty pan squash and ground beef and it was fantastic!
We have a house guest for the month in the form of our exchange student we hosted from Germany three years ago. It is a joy to see her again and she is having fun visiting the familiar and exploring the new places built since she was here last. Today she is running around with another German student who is attending college in the state. Their schedules never match when the are both home in Germany so they are meeting here to catch up a bit and have some fun shopping.
I leave you with my morning coffee which I usually take black but today felt like a foamy milk and raw sugar kind of day.
